Who needs GDC?

So GDC’s been cancelled due to a global pandemic, Brexit’s happening, Creative Europe UK is closing down, Flybe has lost its wings and Tina is the new chair of Games NI, so the apocalypse is definitely upon us. Let’s go to the pub!

Join us at Cuckoo next Wednesday, March 11, where we will introduce everyone to the new Games NI board members, and immediately put a few of them into the line of fire, as we attempt to answer the question… Do we really need GDC?

In classic pub-debate style, two teams of gamedev veterans will go head to head, arguing the for-and-against of attending massive worldwide global gaming events. Are they worth the time? Are they worth the money? Are they not to be missed, or not to be bothered? Each side with have two minutes to plead their case with a series of hard-hitting questions, with an added minute each for rebuttal. Who decides who wins? You do.

Will we discover a definitive answer? Probably not. But there’ll be pizza.
